(#025) “…the Commons II – Hunting News”

New Year of sixty-seven Post Sections, in the first Five of the first Hour, at dawn of the Year, that is. In this starry dawn, it will be then when the injured but satisfied Cho, of the Common kind, ascends again.
He will be in a hostile, by then, interpiece of Earth, but after the last night, his positive energy will abound. He will feel full of emotions and in front of some structures, red and blue buildings like unfamiliar temples, he will think he traveled to another era.

Stripped and looted of his heavy survival belt with pockets, he can quickly march towards the twisted exit tunnel, away from his pursuers, from a pack of three Commons, but he does not do that yet.

“Screaming and yelling creatures,… the Cer, Ver, and Rous…”

He runs for his salvation and lightly considers that what really burns him in agony is the female Eri, whom he didn’t get the chance to kiss goodbye because of them.
He wants to keep alive his hope to see her again someday, so he will not yet seek to completely escape from action. Hidden, he will stay in shadows and occasionally leap into void dives, he will go in and out through the dangerous openings of the tunnel and at intervals he will return back. Each time he will search for a good breath, more and more dizzy, and in the end, he will offer a magnificent display of endurance and acrobatic skills.

“But… not many choices left… I must confuse them… make them follow… to make room for Eri… to escape from the other side… I must draw everyone’s attention!”

He continues and leaps through thinly smelling holes, turns around deep shady corners, and rolls down familiarly labyrinthine slopes, to gain some time and find the right words and to attract the interest and focus of his enemies. With each reappearance, he gives new signals to their smelling receptors.
The pack of three has Eri in mind but is also conscious of it’s superiority against Choky, so without spending much energy, the three locate his trail and go for the attack. They eventually settle into a passive role, amused by the free spectacle, waiting for Choky to fall on his own.
The truth, however, is that he feels so light after a while that he will not be afraid to fall low and use the last means at his disposal. Even if the punishment of memories is fiery and burns him. After all, only the tricks and habits of his servile past are left for him to rely on. He now knows well that, as luck reignites in cycles, the only thing left is to roll within the circles that reignite luck. That is all that remains, to roll, and in just a Third of time, Choky uses evacuations and ingenuity for creative destruction and recalls and rediscovers, through the gaze of his former commander, Manqui, the A.Th.A.H.E. compound. There, where after his adoption from the Commons breeding house, he was taught all the maneuvers believed to exist.

“I won’t stand this hide-and-seek for long… I would like to say something in the end too! A few firsts… will get… I just tell you… who I was!”

Since the beginning of the parasitic coexistence with his master, he was assigned the destination of covering the newly established position of assistant aquaponicist with a plethora of duties. If something can save him now from the chase, it will be his good memory and the training he started then, somewhere in the sixth Day of the sixty-first Year Post Sections, in the late summer that is.
He selectively mixes truth and imagination and quickly and sharply begins to tell the pack of the three evils the same words that no matter how many times Manqui had used, always enthralled him.
